4th April - Birthday actress Parveen Babi

Parveen Babi was born on 4^th April, 1949 in Junagadh (Gujrat). She started career as a model in 1972. Her debut film was Charitra. This film was unusuccessfull at Box Office but she was noticed for Hindi films. She was the first Bollywood star to appear on the front page of the Time magazine. She acted in film Majboor, was first successful film at Box Office. She worked with Zeenat Aman, another famous icon of that epoch, and changed the image and personality of Bollywood heroines. Her other hit movies included “Kranti”, Suhaag, Namak Halaal, Meri Aawaaz Suno, The Burning Train, Yeh Nazdeekiyan, Deewa, Amar Akbar Anthony, Shaan, Namak Halal, Pati Patni Aur Who, Do Aur Do Paanch etc.  She left Indian and film industry at the height of her career on 1983.  She returned to India in 1989 after 16 long years of existence with film industry. She was found dead in her residence on 22 Januray, 2005. The police suspected that she may have been dead upto 72 hours before her body was found in other words she may be died on 20^th January, 2005.
