Rohini Hattangadi was born on 11th April, 1951
at Pune as Rohini Oak. Her debut film was Arvind Desai Ki Ajeeb Dastan. She got
popularity from film Gandhi. She has acted in several Hindi films such as Arth,
Saaransh, Party, Agnipath, Damini, Lajja, Munna Bhai MBBS. She is best known
for Marathi stage. She is founder of ‘Avishkar’ Marathi theatre group, with her
husband Jayadev Hattangadi, who was renowned director of Marathi theatre. Her
upcoming film is David.
