One of India's most respected film maker,
Baldev Raj Chopra was born on 22nd April, 1914 in Ludhiana (Punjab,
India). He was legendary director and producer of Hindi cinema. He is best
known for his films such as Waqt, Dhool Ka Phool, Ittefaq, Baghban, Insaf Ka Tarazu, Naya Daur, Sadhana, Kanoon, Gumrah, Humraaz Nikah and
television epic serial Mahabharata. His directorial debut film was Afsana. He
was one of them, who made films on social issues and his film stories were based
on women character. He died on 5th November, 2008.
