Legendary music composer Naushad Ali was born on 25th
December, 1919 in Lucknow. He started to receive proper training in classical
music from Ustad Ghurbat Ali, Ustad Yusuf Ali and Ustad Babban Sahib. Nausad
got his break with the film Prem Nagar but got populariy, name and fame from
film Ratan. His compositions were based upon Ragas. His musical melodies films
are Baiju Bawra, Jadoo, Aan, Uran Khatola, Anmol Ghadi, Dard, Mere Mehboob,
Mughal-e-Azam, Mother India, Kohinoor, Mela, Nai Duniya, Ram Aur Shyam Saathi,
Pakeezah, Gunga Jamuna and many more. His last composition film was Taj Mahal :
An Eternal Love Story. He died on 5th May, 2006 in Mumbai.
