Iqbal Qureshi was a very talented composer who was not
given his due in his times, but his compositions are superb. He was a true
maestro in every sense, he composed music for less than twenty Hindi movies,
the movies he did in the sixties had musical gems that made a lasting mark
on the listener’s memory. He was from Hyderabad. He is best remembered for the
songs, Subah Na Aaye, Main Apne Aap Se Ghabraa and Phir Aane Laga Yaad Wahi
sung by Mohammed Rafi. His career as a music director
spanned over three decades from the fifties to the eighties. His last movie was Pathron ke Shehar.
